Established in 1994, the Nor-Cal Technology focus, drive and measured success have been on the growth of our principal's positions in their marketplaces. We provide the missing sales, marketing and management intangibles of our partners businesses to assist the growth of each one successfully.  Our ability to adjust quickly and understand our customers ever changing requirements, keeps us on the front edge of requests for both the simple and the un-invented projects. We reside in Northern California, in the offices of Exatron and Arrow Electronics.

Factoids of NCT Innovations and Collaboration Projects 


1999-2000 Exatron 800-900 Series Handling System 

(First Table-top P&P programming system)

NCT was consulted to outperform a Houston based automated handling system which produced 400uph at a price of $350K. Exatron, NCT and System General partnered to produce 500+uph systems for under $75K. This was the first P&P system built by Exatron. The success of the 900 series project quickly spread and 42 units were sold in 18 months, which led to a 130 unit order for another application. The Exatron Model 900 Handling system has grown to an installed base of over 500 units as of 12/08.

 

2001-2004 System General AP500 Series Handling System 
NCT was consulted to specify and co-develop a One-Piece-Flow programming system to include lead inspection, multiple programming sites, laser marking, serialization with tray stacking and multiple I/O options. Nor-Cal Technology, System General and Arrow electronics collaborated to produce the AP520 system. Integration partners included Scanner, Synrad, V-Tek and Chi Yei of Taiwan. This project was SG's first automated handling system and this successful project has led to many other system sales and spawned new products and advancements for System General.  

2004-2007- Where we've been
We accepted an assignment with former collegues to assist a Redmond, WA based programmer company to grow sales in the North American market. As part of a Sales Management team,  a business growth from $6.5 million annually in 2004 to over $10 million in 2007 was achieved. Most of that successful team has moved on to other projects and opportunities. Good luck to all my teammates on their future endeavors.
